Evidence before speed
We seek original documents and at least two independent sources for substantial reporting. Repetition of one claim is not independent confirmation. Sensitive stories require editorial review.
Transparent authorship
Articles credited to Editorial Desk use AI-assisted research and synthesis of linked sources. We do not invent reporters, interviews or first-hand reporting. Source panels explain where information came from.
Fairness without false balance
We examine the strongest credible competing arguments. Unsupported claims do not receive the same weight as established evidence. Analysis and uncertainty must be clear.
No manufactured history
The publication begins on its first production launch. Article dates reflect actual publication. Our archive grows from that point, with no backdated stories.
Corrections in the open
Material errors receive a dated correction explaining what changed. Updates preserve the original publication date and record a new updated timestamp.
Images with provenance
Photography must carry attribution and documented usage rights. We do not use generated illustrations as evidence of real events.
Independence is a practice
No political tribalism, clickbait or manufactured controversy. Significance is measured by consequences for people, not engagement potential.
